  This charming modern cottage, melted my heart. We enjoyed 4 nights here. It has 3 comfortable bedrooms, but we were 2 couples and only used two of the rooms. When we arrived...a bit late, we wandered the cottage exploring every corner, ending in the kitchen, where we sat down and said would it be yummy to have a warm piece of toast and cocoa! We opened the small refrigerator and to our delight, there was orange juice, farm bread, a cube of butter and a freshly-picked half-dozen eggs. What a delight. We enjoyed egg on toast in front of the wood burning fireplace without searching out a market or restaurant (which is impossible after 8 pm in the countryside of England). What a special "extra"!
  The beds are very comfortable, the upstairs room is large with a small writing desk. The second bedroom is also upstairs near the shared bathroom. This one has a tub with shower handle, painted wood floors, pedestal sink and a quaint view while you wash your hands--and ample warm water. A sitting area for small children or a quiet reading setting on the landing. The third room is downstairs across from a large, very modern shower bathroom (with laundry too). The linens are clean and fluffy. The walls are thick and windows mostly lead glass. It is simple and crisp. I adored the kitchen, good appliances, wooden table, long drapes to slide in front of each "out door". This is not an elegant place but it is as charming an english cottage as I could have dreamed of. Burlap carpet throughout, some stone floors ,thick white stucco walls and deep window sills. Great sitting room with fireplace. Super clean, the neighbors are quiet but friendly if you have a need (which we did).
  I adored this cozy but ample room cottage. The farm bread and butter were a thoughtful surprise and the style simple, clean, modern cottage. Just what I dreamed of. If this is what your looking for, you will be sooooo pleased. P.S. I haven't even mentioned the fact that the lower slaughters is a quaint fairytale village. Every direction is picture worthy. Stop and walk--a car moves to fast to see all the beauties here!
